Birds Learn to Share
Once upon a time,
there was a little bird who lived in a tree on the edge of a forest. Every day,
the bird would go out to find food for himself and his family. One day, as he
was flying over the forest, he spotted a big pile of seeds that had been scattered
on the ground. The little bird was delighted to find such a bountiful supply of
food. He ate as much as he could and then flew back to his tree to share the
news with his family.
The next day, the little bird returned to the pile of seeds, but this time he noticed that there were many other birds there, all trying to eat as much as they could. The little bird became greedy and decided that he would not share any of the seeds with the other birds. He ate as much as he could, and then flew back to his tree feeling very proud of himself.
Over the next few days, the little bird continued to eat from the pile of seeds, but he noticed that there was less and less food each time he went. He became worried that soon there would be no more seeds left for him to eat. One day, as he was flying over the forest, he met an old wise owl. Theowl could see that the little bird was unhappy, and asked him what was wrong.
The little bird explained how he had eaten all the seeds and now there was no more left for him. The wise old owl told him that he had made a mistake. He explained that if the little bird had shared the seeds with the other birds, then they would have all helped to make sure that the pile of seeds was always full. By being greedy and not sharing, the little bird had caused his own problem.
The little bird realized that the wise old owl was right. From that day on, he decided that he would always share what he had with others. He went back to the pile of seeds and started to share them with the other birds. Before long, the pile of seeds was bigger than ever before, and there was enough food for everyone.
The moral of this story is that it is always better to share than to be greedy. When we share what we have with others, we create a better world for everyone.

ایک چھوٹا پرندہ رہتا تھا۔ ہر روز چڑیا اپنے اور اپنے گھر والوں کے لیے کھانا
ڈھونڈنے نکل جاتی۔ ایک دن جب وہ جنگل کے اوپر سے اڑ رہا تھا تو اسے بیجوں کا ایک
بڑا ڈھیر نظر آیا جو زمین پر بکھرا ہوا تھا۔ چھوٹے پرندے کو کھانے کی اتنی بھر پور
فراہمی دیکھ کر خوشی ہوئی۔ اس نے جتنا کھایا کھایا اور پھر اپنے گھر والوں کے ساتھ
خبریں بانٹنے کے لیے واپس اپنے درخت پر اڑ گیا۔
اگلے دن، چھوٹا پرندہ بیجوں کے ڈھیر پر واپس آیا، لیکن اس بار اس نے دیکھا کہ وہاں اور بھی بہت سے پرندے موجود ہیں، سب زیادہ سے زیادہ کھانے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔ چھوٹا پرندہ لالچی ہو گیا اور فیصلہ کیا کہ وہ کسی بھی بیج کو دوسرے پرندوں کے ساتھ نہیں بانٹے گا۔ اس نے جتنا کھایا کھایا، اور پھر خود پر بہت فخر محسوس کرتے ہوئے واپس اپنے درخت کی طرف اڑ گیا۔
اگلے چند دنوں تک، چھوٹا پرندہ بیجوں کے ڈھیر سے کھانا کھاتا رہا، لیکن اس نے دیکھا کہ جب بھی وہ گیا وہاں خوراک کم ہوتی گئی۔ وہ پریشان ہو گیا کہ جلد ہی اس کے کھانے کے لیے مزید بیج نہیں بچے گا۔ ایک دن جب وہ جنگل کے اوپر سے اڑ رہا تھا تو اس کی ملاقات ایک بوڑھے عقلمند اُلو سے ہوئی۔ اُلّو دیکھ سکتا تھاکہ چھوٹا پرندہ ناخوش تھا، اور اس سے پوچھا کہ کیا ہوا؟
چھوٹے پرندے نے بتایا کہ اس نے سارے بیج کیسے کھا لیے اور اب اس کے لیے کوئی اور چیز باقی نہیں رہی تھی۔ عقلمند بوڑھے اُلو نے اسے بتایا کہ اس سے غلطی ہوئی ہے۔ اس نے وضاحت کی کہ اگر چھوٹا پرندہ دوسرے پرندوں کے ساتھ بیج بانٹتا، تو وہ سب اس بات کو یقینی بنانے میں مدد کرتے کہ بیجوں کا ڈھیر ہمیشہ بھرا رہتا۔ لالچی ہو کر اور اشتراک نہ کر کے، ننھی چڑیا نے اپنا مسئلہ خود بنا لیا تھا۔
چھوٹے پرندے کو معلوم ہوا کہ عقلمند بوڑھا اُلّو ٹھیک کہہ رہا ہے۔ اس دن سے، اس نے فیصلہ کیا کہ جو کچھ اس کے پاس ہے وہ ہمیشہ دوسروں کے ساتھ شیئر کرے گا۔ وہ دوبارہ بیجوں کے ڈھیر پر گیا اور انہیں دوسرے پرندوں کے ساتھ بانٹنے لگا۔ کچھ ہی دیر میں، بیجوں کا ڈھیر پہلے سے کہیں زیادہ بڑا تھا، اور ہرایک کے لیے کافی خوراک تھی۔
اس کہانی کا اخلاق یہ ہے کہ لالچی ہونے سے شیئر کرنا ہمیشہ بہتر ہے۔ جب ہم اپنے پاس موجود چیزوں کو دوسروں کے ساتھ بانٹتے ہیں، تو ہم سب کے لیےایک بہتر دنیا بناتے ہیں۔
